Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean are British ice dancers and former British, European, World and Olympic champions.
At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, they played one of the most beautiful ice dancing games in Olympic history.
Ice dancing is a form of figure skating that won a medal at the 1976 Winter Olympics. Eight years later, English women Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean performed brilliantly at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
There they presented their choreography to the Bolero Orchestra, and in 1928 the French composer Joseph-Maurice Ravel signed a contract. The dance couple won an Olympic gold medal for their performance.
The Torvill-Dean duo are still considered one of the best and they are sure to surprise you with their amazing dance. See how English dancers shone at the 1984 Olympics.
