About eighteen months ago, a stray two year old dog in Kingston, New York became friends with an unlikely stranger. The dog goes by the name of Wiley and was spotted by numerous members of the public running rampant and playing with a pack of coyotes who they say took him and accepted him as one of their own.

However, they became concerned for the dog’s well-being and decided it would be best for Wiley to be placed in an actual home where there are people to care, feed and play with him and so they set up a “trap” to get a hold of him with the help of the Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery (BDRR) and Lost Pets of Hudson Valley (LPHV) which they were successfully able to do. Wiley is now recovering from his stint as a member of the coyote pack who took him in and will hopefully find a “forever home” soon enough.
