No car battery left? No problem! You can start your car with a rope instead of jumper cables and it’s extremely simple. With winter weather approaching, vehicle safety is more important than ever. To get stuck on the road is never fun, but if you are in a place where help isn’t quickly available, this is a trick you will want to know before the cold bites. Just know that this solution does not work on every car, but if your car has a manual transmission and a smaller engine, this will work well. Begin with the following four steps: set up the jack just behind the front tire of your car, set your car into park, then into third gear, and finally have your key turned on.

Once these things are complete you are now ready to hook up your rope. Simply wrap your rope around the front tire – the one that is lifted, and give it a strong pull. Notice that these are all things you can do all by yourself. So, if you are alone, this is the fastest and easiest way to get back on the road without having to worry because by this time your car should start. It might take a couple of pulls, but all of that can happen within minutes.
