A six-month-old lion cub named Freya was found in Lebanon for illegal wildlife trafficking. He was rescued before he faced the possibility of a lifetime of abuse and mistreatment of many other exotic animals. It took Freya a while to settle into Drakenstein Lion Park, a sanctuary where big cats born in captivity roam freely across 60 acres. According to experts, Freya would never survive in the wild. He’s simply not suited for survival.
