This story is about a poor dog who saved four boys at Mile 7 in Detroit just in time. Brothers Kevin, Kenneth and Kenny Dancy and their friend Andrew Daniels tried to help a local woman who wanted to leave her home after witnessing a horrific scene.

They saw an abandoned, shaking, emaciated dog tied on a leash behind a house. The dog was clearly mistreated.

So, the boys took the dog, named Shiny, home, let him go, covered him with a winter coat, and gave him water and food. Luckily, members of the Detroit Dog Rescue Mine team saw them walking Twilight and decided to help her.

The children told members of the organization the story of the dog. So they took the dog for treatment, calling the boys “heroes” in a Facebook post and thanking them.

Luckily, Twilight didn’t have mange, which meant she was adoptable. Sparkle was then placed in a foster home with sister organization Pet Tales Rescue. I hope he finds his forever home soon.
