In ski competitions, this dog pulls its owner off a snow-covered bridge. Eleanor Crabbe, 27, moved from Scotland to Alberta, Canada a few years ago and is now enjoying the snow conditions as much as possible. Eleanor is a famous skier who has visited many of the nearby slopes.

Two years ago, Eleanor decided to put her skills to the test and face a new challenge to skip with the German Shepherd Hybrid Akela. Eleanor and Akela love skiing and recently tried them out on a suspension bridge covered in thick white snow. Eleanor said: “When we were walking, when we saw the snowy bridge, I thought it would be great to ski on it. In the video, Akela dragged me across the bridge, but I didn’t have to pull too hard because it was so cool! I am happy to be here and it makes me very happy. We ride mountain bikes, canoes and skis together and it makes us special relationship.

We certainly didn’t start with a suspension bridge, we did it for a while. This is a great activity to try, but you need to start on the open field first. You must be able to ski at an advanced level.”
