He was a stray cat on the streets of Las Vegas, but unfortunately he was one of many. But a lucky day for this cat fell on Duff, the savior and C5 member of the local Trap-Neuter-Release group. Duff rescued the cat from the street and immediately took her to the veterinary office. But while there, Duff received a wonderful message: his cat is now breastfeeding, so his kittens have disappeared somewhere …
“The doctor told [Duff] that there was a baby somewhere, so the soldiers were sent in to search,” said Ellen Richter, a cat adoption teacher. Duff and other rescuers rushed to the spot where the mother cat was found and began searching. Even in the middle of day and night, this determined group did not give up until they found kittens.
After several hours of searching, rescuers found the kitten. “They searched for several hours and finally found a kitten hidden in a pile of fuel in a neighbor’s yard,” Richter explained. The kittens were returned to their mothers, and the rescuers stayed with their families until they found the adopted child by “adopting a domestic cat”.
Rescuers named the mother cat Portia and her three kittens Persia, Palma and Paris. Portia was delighted to see her babies and started taking care of them as soon as possible.
When I contacted Richter and asked him to fill up the family, he quickly agreed. He took care of his family day and night and taught Portia to trust people. Unfortunately, one of the kittens, Paris, died of heart failure, but Richter continued to care for the other tribes.
Associated with the birth and now inseparable, Palma and Persia moved together to a new home. For sincere people like Richter and Duff, watching these three cats lovingly is worth every minute of the hour for animals in need. Richter: “This is education.”
Thanks to the kindness and compassion of these saviors and mentors, Portia, Persia and Palma look forward to a happy and fulfilling life. Share this amazing story with your friends and family on Facebook.
