Worker leaps through drive-thru window, saves choking young boy

Employees of Chick-fil-A are known for being polite and eager to please. But a Chick-fil-A employee from the Flowery Branch, GA is now being called a hero after he leaped through the window to save a young boy from choking

While Logan Simmons was working the drive-thru of the Stonebridge Village location of the chicken-centric chain in Flowery Branch,GA on Wednesday, he heard a woman in the drive-thru line scream that her son was being choked by the seat belt.

So, the teenager of Hall County leaped through a drive-thru window into action and ran to the rescue. He said:

“I’m still kind of shocked right now myself that all this has happened”

He recalled that the youngster was turning red and losing pigmentation in his face. The seat belt of the 6-year-old tangled around his neck, prompting him to pull out a handy pocketknife and safely cut the boy free.

The incredible jump of Simmons through the window was captured on the surveillance camera and has since been circulated online.

Soon after, the boy’s mother called the Chick-fil-A staffer to express her thanks for saving her son’s life.

Simmons said that was the quickest option. He mused at the feat:

“I do feel like a hero”
