It’s always amazing to see moms get creative with their maternity shoots — especially when they’re able to include their favorite hobbies and activities. Wanting a shoot that emphasized her “natural state,” one mom chose Taco Bell as the location and theme for her maternity photos. And honestly, the photos couldn’t be any more epic if they tried.

• Mom Kristin Johnston says that she has always loved maternity shoots.

  “You know, the ones with the mom-to-be looking so glamorous and ethereal, standing majestically on a mountain in a flowing gown, or on the beach with an awe-inspiring sunset in the background,” she wrote in a post on her blog, Strollers and Stilettos.

  But for her own, she wanted to do “something a little different,” she wrote, “something spicier.”

  “After spending as much time and money at Taco Bell as I have during this pregnancy, I knew it was the place for me,” she tells CafeMom. “I have always loved Taco Bell but have craved it so much, especially the last few months. My husband also equally likes it so it was always a win for us both!”

  The mom shared that getting the perfect images wasn’t as easy as it sounds.

  After scouting a location with her best friend photographer, they set about actually taking the photos. “I wanted a sunset shoot so that the lighting would be best, so that also meant a lot of evening traffic in that part of Atlanta,” she says. “There were so many people driving by and laughing or giving us thumbs up!

• Johnston says that everyone who has seen her maternity photos has absolutely loved them.

  “Everyone — friends, family, and strangers have all been so supportive. I can’t believe how many people identify with my love for Taco Bell,” she says.

  The mother announced that she gave birth to her second child on Friday, January 5.

  She and her husband decided to name the little one Teddy. “We call him Teddy Bear — TB … Taco Bell — but I assure you it is all a coincidence!” Johnston said in an interview with Popsugar.

  Even just after giving birth, it wasn’t long before she began craving her favorites again.

  “I was feeling well enough to go home on Saturday afternoon,” she tells CafeMom. “But not before stopping by Taco Bell on the way.”
