We’ve been told to turn the other cheek if someone hurts us or insults us. How many times have we heard the saying, “Sticks and stones can break my bones but names will never hurt me.”? Since my childhood that saying has been ingrained in my brain, but it’s not an easy thing to practice, especially when you can hear someone being exceptionally rude.
I can tolerate most people, but the woman in this story seems particularly obnoxious. I don’t know what was up with her, but she seemed to be pretty cranky. You really should watch the video for yourself and see how the story unfolds. I was feeling agitated by the woman’s negative comments and but the way the video ended made me feel better.
I know we’ve all been behind a bagger or a customer who is super slow or can’t seem to make up their minds, but patience is key. When a person is special, we should all be patient instead of throwing a temper tantrum. That just makes you look bad.
So when the cashier spoke up and defended the employee, I was really happy. Hopefully, this story is just an uplifting one and not an actual one because I don’t like the thought of someone being rude to a bagger like that. We really do need to have more tolerance and patience for people with special needs.
Hopefully, you haven’t been on the receiving end of an encounter like this. If so, big hugs to you and tell us all about it in the comments section!
