“Baby Ellie”, the elephant as was known to her rescuers lives in an orphanage located in South Africa.

Unlike most of the animals that were a victim of poaching, she was rejected by her herd.

When she was discovered, the veterinarian with the found that she has a serious condition which affected her blood supply, and for a brief period of time, it looked like she might not make it.

Although her health improved eventually, life was too lonely for her. That was until she met Duma, a former sniffer dog that stepped into her life and became a friend.
